OTHER PROJECTS

Since the last few years, especially, from 2000, the conventional technology of Power/ Desalination Plants are undergoing massive changes in pace with the increasing demands and also with economically viable options. This Phenomena necessitated the requirements of cost effective equipment, such as T.C.D. ( Thermo Compressor Desalination ) Units, in high demands.

Weir Westgarth/ Entropie awarded eight Nos. of such Units to BILFAL for their United Arab Emirates Projects.

In March 2001 BILFAL were awarded a Contract by Hitachi Zosen for the fabrication of 3 x 7.5 MIGD Evaporator Units & Steel Supporting Structures.

These Units, having a total weight of 1830 tons each, were assembled on their permanent supporting structures in BILFAL Construction Yard and transported as one complete module through the nearest Jubail Industrial Port to the Barka Power & Desalination Plant Project Phase I, Site in Sultanate of Oman.
